Cambridge Announces Winners of Fifth Annual Jim Guy Memorial Scholarships

FAIRFIELD, IA – April 26, 2018 – Cambridge recently announced the winners of the Fifth Annual Jim Guy Memorial Scholarship. Each year the program honors the legacy of former Cambridge executive Jim Guy by awarding two $1,000 educational scholarships; one to the son or daughter of a Cambridge independent financial advisor and one to the son or daughter of a Cambridge associate. The Cambridge Foundation is pleased to name the following as the 2018 scholarship recipients:

Hannah Chadwick, daughter of Cambridge independent financial advisor Michael Chadwick of Chadwick Financial Advisors. Hannah has been actively involved in high school, serving on the student council, as a leader on the dance team, and as the chapter president for the Future Business Leaders of America. Her extracurricular involvement includes membership of the National Honor Society and as the assistant teacher for a local senior-level dance class. Additionally, Hannah regularly spends her free time volunteering for her local church. Hannah plans to pursue a degree in business.

Jessica Swisher, daughter of Cambridge home office associate Stacey Swisher. Throughout high school, Jessica has actively participated in her local community’s Leo Club organization and Youth Leadership Council, where she helps plan and execute a number of local initiatives. Her extracurricular involvement includes membership of the National Honor Society, volunteering at the Great River Medical Center, and serving as a leader within the ILead Organization, a program that helps local business owners grow their business. Jessica plans to attend Southeastern Community College.

The Cambridge Foundation would like to thank the Greater Jefferson County Foundation for their ongoing support of the Jim Guy Memorial Scholarship Program and for their important role in assisting with the selection process.

About Jim Guy
Jim Guy joined Cambridge’s executive group in 1999, and continued to lead his independent practice while providing senior executive leadership for Cambridge’s recruiting and marketing. Jim was instrumental in the early development of Cambridge’s fee-based programs, and he also focused on supporting and improving the independent financial advisor’s business through practice management coaching, marketing initiatives, and product services. These scholarships allow us to remember our friend and colleague, share his passion for learning, and reflect a positive tribute to his memory by supporting promising college students.
